The design’s intention was to highlight the rich cultural heritage that Italian cuisine offers, transporting the consumer to the origins of the foods being offered.
La Salumería is a space to experience the best of Italian “tavola fredda” and “aperitivi,” offering a wide range of cold cuts, cured cheeses, bread, cocktails, and more.
We designed a room with a natural and unpretentious atmosphere, where construction materials are showcased just as they are, with all their imperfections and beauty. This creates a cheerful, beautiful, comfortable, and functional environment.
The final result of this design exercise is a space with an architecture that brings the consumer closer, through a fully open kitchen for food preparation, slicing, dish and panini making; just as it happens in any neighborhood charcuterie in Italy. The space is beautifully decorated with objects that connect the consumer to the atmosphere of an Italian market square. The design included dining areas, a kitchen, a bar, a wine area, and exclusive areas for staff.
